A house building operation in East Anglia is aiming to attract potential buyers by highlighting the advantages its properties can offer home-based professionals.

Persimmon Homes Anglia has incorporated a "dedicated space" into its house designs that it claims can give teleworkers the kind of environment they need to work effectively from home.

With an increasing number of Britons opting to work from home, Persimmon is hoping to attract potential property buyers with its "readily available" office spaces that could bypass the need for costly renovations, according to a report from Easier Property.

Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia, told the news service: "The modern working environment means gone are the days when nine to five meant clocking in and out of the office and rush hour lasted just an hour.

"We believe that our housetypes need to change with modern purchasers’ requirements, which is why we are offering a range of homes suited to home workers."

The Work Wise UK initiative makes clear that increasing the number of home-based workers in Britain could have a significant impact in reducing the country’s carbon emissions.
