Senior management staff at companies across London are increasingly leveraging the benefits of more flexible working practices, according to a recent study.
Research carried out by the Working Families organisation and backed by the Lehman Brothers found that professionals in the City of London are now aiming to create a better work life balance by operating from home and working compressed hours.
Commenting on the findings, the report’s author Pam Walton said: "Organisations are beginning to accept that in many of these jobs it is outputs that matter; where and how you do it should not be the issue."
Additionally, the study suggests that allowing for flexible working arrangements can result in a greater degree of enthusiasm, effectiveness and loyalty among staff, the Guardian reports.
Earlier this month, research from the RAC Foundation revealed that the length of the average UK commute has increased by around six per cent over the course of the last decade.
