Home-based workers from a number of countries are becoming increasingly interested in using wireless printing technology, according to new research.
A study from the Lexmark company established that employees who work from home or those who run a business from a home-based office were among those most drawn to the advantages of wireless printing.
British-based workers were included in the recent research, which concludes that ease-of-use, quality and affordability are the main factors for consideration when it comes to buying these kinds of tools.
Najib Bahous, Lexmark vice president and president of its consumer printer division, insists: "2007 is the year for wireless printing to go mainstream."
"Consumers are taking advantage of the freedom that wireless home networks offer and they are looking for that same flexibility with printing."
A study carried out by Future Labs on behalf of Microsoft recently forecast that there will be more than 5.5 million people working from home in the UK by 2012.
