Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) technology can help businesses boost their productivity by establishing a more mobile and flexible workforce, one expert has asserted.
David Brunnen from the Communications Management Association (CMA) insists that employees can be more productive if they have the capability to work on the move or from their own homes.
And Mr Brunnen makes clear that VoIP technology can help create the kind of flexibility that companies are looking for and that can have a positive impact on their bottom line.
"The ability to answer your office number regardless of where in the world you happen to be opens up all manner of new opportunities," he said.
"It’s now very easy to choose to have business telephone numbers in London, Paris, New York or anywhere that makes sense for your business."
Research by the CMA earlier this year showed that spending on IP technology continues to increase among Britain’s larger companies.
