Family-friendly bosses who offer employees the opportunity to work from home are to be showcased on a new online platform.
Community and employment advice site workingmums.co.uk has just launched its new Top Employers feature, which also lists bosses who encourage career progression for individuals who work flexibly and have "innovative policies" on creating a diverse workforce.
Some of the first enterprises to be offered Top Employer status include Morgan Stanley, Thomson Holidays and Coca-Cola, whose spokesperson explained the company's aim to attract, develop and retain a "highly talented and diverse workforce".
"To do this, we need to support our employees to deliver the best possible performance for our business," the representative continued.
"Flexible working can play a significant part in helping our employees to achieve these high levels of performance."
According to research by WorkingMums, flexible options such as working from home present a "win-win situation" for bosses and employees alike, boosting retention levels and reducing absences.
The choice to work from home was one of the top concerns identified in a survey carried out by the site this month, with 45 per cent of respondents admitting they had considered setting up their own business because of it.
