The first Jelly conference is set to take place in the UK next month.
Jelly holds informal co-working events which are already popular in America and are now getting off the ground in the UK.
The Big Jelly, the first national UK Jelly event, is taking place in March in Shropshire. It will bring together small business owners, freelancers, contractors and home-based workers who will have a chance to discuss new and ongoing projects, exciting ways of working and possible collaborations.
There will be hand-picked keynote speakers delivering sessions specifically tailored to home-based businesses and small companies. There will also be Q & A sessions and break-out groups.
Previously there have been individual Jelly events throughout the UK, focusing on local areas, many of which have connected over 1,000 workers. However, the Big Jelly will be first time homeworkers, freelancers and small companies have had the chance to connect nationally in this way.
Jelly believes the event has the potential to increase creativity in the small business sector and says it is a reflection of the way work in the UK is changing. The conference costs £50 per person and is being held at the Telford Hotel and Golf Course in Ironbridge, Shropshire, from 9am to 5pm on 25 March 2011.
